Basic Competence :

      1. Merespon makna dalam teks fungsional pendek (misalnya banner,poster,pamphlet, dll.) resmi dan tak resmi yang menggunakan ragam bahasa tulis secara akurat, lancar dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan untuk mengakses ilmu pengetahuan
      2. Mengungkapkan makna dalam teks fungsional pendek (misalnya banner, poster, pamphlet, dll.) resmi dan tak resmi dengan menggunakan ragam bahasa tulis secara akurat, lancar dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari

Objectives :

In the end of the learning, 75% of the students are able to:

  1. Indicate the structure of personal letter

  2. Share his or her experience in front of the class

  3. Make a Personal Letter to his or her friend

  4. Reply the Personal letter from another one

  5. Send the letter through the post office

Learning activities :

Meeting 1

  1. Opening

    • The teacher greets and checks the student’s presence

    • Students listen and take note of the things are needed about personal letter

  2. Lesson

    • Students listen to the theacher explenaation about the text

    • Students identfy the structure

c. Closing

  • Students are pleased to ask if they have any question, problems, or difficulties

  • The teacher summarizes the lesson material

  • Students are given to look for, read and also to learn the material

Meeting 2

a. Opening

  • The teacher greets and cheeks the student’s presence

  • Question and answering anything which is related to previous lesson(the personal letter)

b. Lesson

  • Discussing about the experience make a letter, and sharing about the experience

c. Closing

  • The teacher asks the students’ impression to give a feed-back, which can be in the from of any difficulties which are faced, comments on the lesson which they have just gotten

  • Students are given an assignment to make a personal letter

Meeting 3

a. Opening

  • The teacher greets and cheeks the student’s presence

  • Question and answering anything which is related to the text

b. Lesson

  • Discussing the assigment

  • Students share his or her personal letter infront of the class

c. Closing

  • The teacher asks the students’ impression to give a feed-back, which can be in the from of any difficulties which are faced, comments on the lesson which they have just gotten

  • Students are given an assignment to send the letter for his or her next friend.

Meeting 4

a. Opening

  • The teacher greets and cheeks the student’s presence

  • Question and answering anything which is related to the weather

  • Prepare thestudents for the evaluation

b. Lesson

  • Evaluation

  • Give assignment to send the letter through post office and reply back the letter that will be accepted

c. Closing

  • Students are pleased to asked if they have any questions, problems, or problems based on the evaluation

  • The teacher answer the students’ question

  • The teacher summarizes the answer sheet of the students’ evaluations
